Adding more statistics collectors to Spice.
Mac reboot
Mac networking was getting increasingly problematic, backups were slow, name resolution was spotty. Time to reboot. Which means reconstructing my whole work environment (terminal windows, Emacs sessions, etc).
Timing information
Factored out in the flight recorder the code for taking timing stats of specific values, e.g. read or write bytes per second.
macOS crash
Had a kernel panic between two meetings. Ouch. It's a good thing that Mac boot fast. I think my machine is really overheading.
Out of memory issue in Spice client
Investigating that issue. Added some recorder code to catch this. The results about queue length are a bit non-intuitive:
There is clearly a frame accumulation problem:
